Catch the leaksMove under the three pipes. Three drops fit. A fourth drop ends the game. At a puddle, press the same direction twice to cross. Tanker collection clears the puddles and resets the spill count.

02

Time your transferAt an outer edge, press ↓ to pour when the deckhand is directly below. A missed handoff blocks that end. The deckhand collects only at the clear end until a full tanker clears both decks. A second lower-deck spill ends the game, at either end.

03

Fill the tankWatch the nine storage bars. Exactly 9 drops calls the tanker; more than 9 spills into the sea and ends the game. Each pickup brings 10% faster drips, up to 2.5× the starting speed. Reach 999 points to complete your shift and record your name at number 1.

About the game

Process Panic is a personal offshore arcade project inspired by the handheld LCD games of the early 1980s. Catch the leaks, time your handoffs and keep oil out of the sea.

Play with a keyboard or the on-screen touch buttons. Sound starts after you press Start shift; use Sound on/off to mute it. An active connection to the game server is needed while playing.

The original-game and artwork references are credited below. This is an independent fan-made game, not an official Nintendo product.

Privacy

Updated 4 October 2026

Playing: the game server holds a temporary run identifier, your game state and timing information to process controls and calculate scores. Runs expire after six hours; expired runs are scheduled for deletion.

Recording a score: saving is optional. We store your chosen nickname, score, level and entry order. The top ten nicknames, scores and levels are visible to anyone who can access this leaderboard. Saved entries remain until removed or the leaderboard is reset.

Tracking: this version has no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. It does not require an account. The game does not save your email address when you play or record a score.

Contact: if you email us, your email address and message are handled by the email service so we can respond. To request removal of a score, use the contact link above and include its nickname, score and level; we may ask for details to identify the entry.

External links: Nintendo, the artwork reference and your email provider have their own privacy practices. Cloudflare hosts the game and processes technical connection information to deliver and protect it. A hashed network address is used briefly to limit repeated starts. Sampled technical traces help diagnose faults; Cloudflare may retain operational records and backups under its own policies.

Leaderboard rules & fair play

Scores are calculated by the game server. Only a completed shift with at least one point can be recorded. Use a nickname of 1–16 letters, numbers, spaces, or these characters: . _ - '.

The highest ten scores are displayed. Each newly saved 999-point score takes first place; other tied scores keep the earlier entry ahead. One result is recorded per shift.

Play yourself: do not use bots, scripts, altered game clients or attempts to manipulate scores. Do not use abusive, hateful, impersonating or personally identifying nicknames. Inappropriate or manipulated entries may be removed, and the leaderboard may be reset when gameplay changes.

Server checks reduce score manipulation; they do not guarantee that every form of automated play can be detected. This is a casual game with no prizes. Report concerns through the contact link above.
